10/23/2018 - We’ve finally moved into the house we built! Unpacking and putting everything away is taking a loooooooong time, so I hope we’re living here a loooooong time as well!

4/1/18 - After almost 32 years with the US Forest Service, I have retired and am looking forward to building our retirement home, spending time with family, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

Band was my thing (hence the nickname "Lamchops"). In 4 years of band I never once had a pair of band uniform pants ... I had to wear my school pants instead. I'm THRILLED with the "new" band uniforms, think they look absolutely spectacular!

I also shoveled popcorn at the Mary E ... I guess some of you didn't know that my folks (Jim & Ruth Lamke) ran the concessions there, from 1962 to the fall of 1980 when it closed. I started boxing popcorn when I was 12, for sale along the Oktoberfest parade route!

I still remember Ms ... our biology teacher, what was her name? ... trying to give us the "sex talk". HA! She got choked up a couple of times and left to get a drink (of water, so she said), and the third time she left she didn't come back. Niiiiiice!! I realize keeping sex a mystery for marriage is a wonderful thing, but come on, that was a little ridiculous!!
