Barbara Jean (Taylor) Dufour

SLINGER, Wis. - Barbara Jean (Taylor) Dufour, 41, of Slinger died suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at the Hartford Memorial Hospital in Hartford, Wis.

She was born in La Crosse, on Jan. 25, 1961, to Charles and Hazel (Christopherson) Taylor. She attended St. Thomas More grade school and graduated from Aquinas High School in 1979. She received her degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in ChildCare. She worked for Discovery ChildCare in La Crosse, Semac in Rushford, Minn., and was working for Child's Place in Hartford at the time of her death. Barb worked as a nanny in New York and has kept in touch with her friends in New York. She loved to travel, singing and working the crossword puzzles. She married Jeffrey Dufour on April 17, 2001.

She is survived by he husband, Jeffrey of Slinger; her mother, Hazel Taylor of La Crosse; one brother, Stephen (Susan) Taylor of Appleton, Wis.; three sisters, Mary (Andy) Ta of Aurora, Ill.; Carol Taylor and her friend, John Sheil of Melbourne, Fla., Sara Taylor and her friend, Kevin Juen of Onalaska; father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Mary Dufour of Slinger; nieces and nephews.
